About us

Space Chariot takes writing by children and young people into space.

We work with amazing children’s authors to develop resources to support children and young people to try their hand at writing something inspired by NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day, submit their creations to us and follow our journey as we work with partners to take them into space.

We are now open to submissions of creative work – please help us spread the word to teachers, librarians, parents, and other caregivers.

We are a pledge partner as part of the UK’s National Year of Reading Go All in campaign. We aim to inspire the child in all of us to write something, read something, listen to a story or draw a comic.

Later this year we will also open to submissions  for our virtual library shelf of recommended books from around the world about, or set in, space. Subscribe to our newsletter or keep an eye on this website for updates.
